“The current session is taking place in Azerbaijan’s East Zangezur economic region, reflecting a new phase of regional cooperation,” said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk in his remarks at the 24th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
He noted that the Russian side encourages broader participation of local businesses in investment and development initiatives in Azerbaijan.
Highlighting that Azerbaijan–Russia cooperation is expanding, with growing business engagement in joint missions and exhibitions, the Russian Deputy PM emphasized that trade turnover reached $4.1 billion in 2025, with both sides working to broaden the range of traded goods and boost trade volumes.
