“Following the Patriotic War, that is, from November 10, 2020 to September 23, 2026, a total of 275 landmine incidents have been recorded in the country,” Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) told The News.
According to the agency, during the corresponding period, 440 people suffered from landmine incidents. Of these, 73 were killed, while 367 sustained injuries of varying severity.
“The landmine threat affects not only individuals but also entire communities and future generations,” the agency added.
